Advanced Geochemical Analysis Reveals High Potential REE Zone in Manitoba
Integral Metals Corp. has made significant strides in its exploration of the Burntwood Rare Earth Element (REE) Project in northern Manitoba, as revealed by a comprehensive rock geochemistry program. The company's efforts to refine vectoring tools for targeting REE-rich zones associated with carbonatite and syenite intrusions have yielded promising results, marking a pivotal moment in the project's development.
The Burntwood Project, centered on a structurally complex alkaline intrusive system, has been the focus of detailed grid surveys and rock geochemical sampling. Integral Metals processed 438 rock samples across the intrusive complex, uncovering elevated concentrations of light rare earth elements (LREEs). Some samples showcased total REE content exceeding 3,800 ppm, with lanthanum and cerium concentrations reaching over 1,000 ppm and 2,500 ppm, respectively, highlighting the area's high mineral potential.
Further analysis revealed the association of REE-enriched rocks with elevated levels of pathfinder elements such as strontium, barium, niobium, and thorium. These findings are indicative of carbonatite-hosted REE systems, providing Integral Metals with valuable insights into the mineralization patterns within the Burntwood Project. The application of principal component analysis (PCA) and K-means clustering techniques has been instrumental in identifying distinct geochemical clusters, paving the way for targeted exploration strategies.
